SSB Dirt Gnomes is a community-driven initiative created by SSB MTB to support trail building, maintenance, and local bike culture. It’s our way of giving back to the riding community through boots-on-the-ground action and empowering local shops, crews, and riders to keep trails alive and thriving.

MISSION

To create a rider-powered network of trail stewards who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. Dirt Gnomes are respected for their dedication, grit, and love of the ride.

Tagline: "Respect the Trail. Fear the Gnome."

PROGRAM ELEMENTS

1. Gnome Trail Days
- Organized by shops, ambassadors, or trail crews with support from SSB
- SSB supplies product samples, swag, and cleanup materials
- Optional BBQ, lunch, or drinks funded through trail tool profits
- Photos, tags, and media encouraged using #SSBDirtGnomes

2. Dirt Gnome Tools
- SSB-branded trail tools, Shirts, hats, and gloves with SSB Dirt Gnome branding and maintenance kits sold via dealers and online
- % of profits go to feeding and hydrating trail crews
- Each tool includes a “This Tool Fed a Gnome” sticker or tag

3. Gnome Gear
- Exclusive apparel and accessories
- Only available to volunteers, riders, and retailers who participate
- Collectible yearly 'Gnome Badge' patches

4. Dealer Kits
- Each participating shop receives:
- SSB Dirt Gnomes banner 
- POP display with explanation of program
- Trail Day planning guide
- Discounted or free event support product bundle

5. Recognition Program
- Gnome of the Month: Social shoutout & gear bundle
- Top Shops: Trail Partner Award each season
- Yearly Trail Crew Spotlight post with feature on SSBMTB.com

HOW TO JOIN

Riders:
- Volunteer at a local trail day and tag #SSBDirtGnomes

- Show your support by supporting your LBS.

- Submit photos to be eligible for monthly gear giveaways

Shops/Crews:
- Contact us for a Dirt Gnomes Dealer Kit
- Host one trail work day per quarter to stay active
- Sell Dirt Gnome tools and promote the program locally
